Timothy Butler brings 18+ years of leadership in affordable housing, policy, and stakeholder engagement across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. As President and CEO of the Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority, he drives strategic direction, operational modernization, and community partnerships that expand housing opportunities and strengthen resident outcomes.
Previously, he served as Director of Program Administration at HUD, where he supported a nationwide team of 1,200+ on equity, innovation, and service initiatives across multifamily housing programs. His honors include the HUD Secretary’s Award for Equal Employment Opportunity & Equity Advancement and HUD’s Coin of Excellence for inclusive leadership. At the heart of his work is a commitment to developing people—helping individuals and communities reach their next level.
