Timothy L. Butler brings more than 18 years of leadership experience in affordable housing, public policy, organizational transformation, and stakeholder engagement across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
As President and CEO of OneCanopi, formerly Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority, he leads the organization’s strategic direction, operational modernization, redevelopment efforts, resident support initiatives, and community partnerships. Under his leadership,OneCanopi is building a stronger, more connected model of service with housing at its foundation.
Previously, Timothy served as Director of Program Administration, reporting to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Multifamily Housing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he supported a nationwide team of more than 1,200 employees withinthe Division of Housing.
Timothy studied English at Morehouse College and holds an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School. His honors include the HUD Secretary’s Award for Equal Employment Opportunity and Equity Advancement, and HUD’s Coin of Excellencefor Inclusive Leadership.
